Red Dragon Karate was founded in 1965 by American martial arts pioneer Louis D. Casamassa and has 12 locations in Southern California. The La Verne studio offers Tiny Tigers, Little Dragons, Teens, and Adults programs, with multiple class and day options that can fit into many family schedules. The mission of Red Dragon is to provide a safe, fun and affordable martial arts school where children and adults can learn to improve in mind, body and spirit in a positive atmosphere.
The leadership team for this location includes Chris Casamassa, Chief Executive Officer of Red Dragon, heir to the Red Dragon Legacy, and Head Instructor of the La Verne studio; Shihan Casamassa, Owner and Chief Instructor; and Shelly Debin-Toland, Co-Owner and Operational Director. Staff members are Black Belt, 5 star certified trainers, and Red Dragon Instructors are required to be certified and earn continuing education credits to stay current with the latest policies and teaching methods.
