Kaizen Shotokan Karate Academy offers Youth Karate in traditional Shotokan Karate, plus Competition Training with kata and kumite coaching for regional, national, and international competition. It also offers Adult Karate for beginners and returning practitioners at all fitness levels, and a free trial class is available. The program welcomes ages 6 and up.

About the provider
The academy was established in 2025 and opened in October 2025. It is family-owned and operated by husband and wife co-founders Sensei Mark Perkins, Chief Instructor, and Sensei Yvonne Perkins, Assistant Instructor; their two sons train there. The academy is ISKF affiliated and an official member of the International Shotokan Karate Federation. Sensei Mark Perkins is Rokudan, or 6th Dan, with 36 years of Shotokan experience, and Sensei Yvonne Perkins is Yondan, or 4th Dan.
