YMCA of Orange County Youth Development & Camps includes group classes, before and after-school programs, camps, sports classes, youth sports leagues, and cooking camp. Children can take part in activities such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, dance, martial arts, family and competitive swim lessons, and adaptive swim programs. The program also includes Adventure Guides program activities, California YMCA Youth & Government, Camp Oakes, Camp ELK, donation drives, and community events.

The YMCA of Orange County has over 150 years of history serving communities through health and wellness, child and youth development, swimming, sports, family programs, events, and more. Its mission statement is: “The YMCA of Orange County puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.” The organization describes itself as a community hub where individuals and families are encouraged and empowered to become the best version of themselves, with full-featured fitness facilities that include dozens of group classes per week, before and after-school programs for children in K–8th grades, adaptive swim programs, and resident camps that bring children of all backgrounds together for a week of exploration and adventure. It offers programs and services for adults and children with special needs, including adaptive swim programs and Inclusion and New Horizons programs that recognize the need for specialized services, care, and experiences. The Adventure Guides program includes activities that involve nature, family, fun, and community, and community programs are open to everyone regardless of circumstances, background, age, race, economic status, or income.

The YMCA of Orange County describes itself as the hub of community, fostering genuine connections and belonging, and offers community services programs and services for adults and children with special needs at various locations throughout Orange County. Volunteer support is described as vital to the YMCA of Orange County, and volunteers have the opportunity to take an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change in the community. Donations, grants, and legacy gifts are used to ensure YMCA programs are open to all regardless of financial circumstances, and one hundred percent of donations received support the financial assistance program or subsidized YMCA programs for those most in need. The YMCA of Orange County states that it is dedicated to supporting each other and those in need through donation drives, community events, and donations.
