Mark Reid Golf School offers golf lessons, one-on-one golf instruction, indoor simulator practice sessions, clinics, a Junior Full-time Program, Summer Camps, and a Tour Prep Program. Each lesson includes 55 minutes of indoor simulator time with real golf balls and instant swing data. The school has many programs available for all levels of golfers and specializes in one-on-one instruction for juniors ages 13 and older and adults.

• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, with sessions generally available between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., in 55-minute indoor simulator blocks
• Price: Book a Session — $25. Single Practice Session — $25. Silver Monthly Practice Membership — $75/month with one hour of simulator practice per day, five days a week (Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), month-to-month with no long-term contract and cancel anytime.
The Mark Reid Golf School teaches indoors using state-of-the-art Full Swing golf simulator technology and Foresight GC3 simulators that provide instant data on every shot, including ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and carry distance. Students practice with real golf balls during indoor simulator time, and single practice sessions require students to bring their own clubs. Instruction includes data-driven coaching, feel-based drills, training aids, personalized practice plans based on specific needs and goals, and personalized videos with audio and visual instruction sent after lessons.
Mark Reid is a PGA Professional, former Senior Instructor for the David Leadbetter Golf Academy, and operator of The Mark Reid Golf School and The Golf Academy Zone in Lake Forest. He is a former 10-year David Leadbetter Certified Instructor and began his career in Austria in 1989, later training with David Leadbetter after completing his PGA training in 1995. Over the next eight years he traveled with the David Leadbetter Golf Academy teaching in Austria, Spain, England, and the USA, and conducted clinics in India, Bolivia, Portugal, Canada, and Brazil. He spent three years as Academy Director at Mount Juliet in Ireland, relocated full time to the USA in 1999 as a Senior Instructor at the Leadbetter Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and taught the Junior Full-time Program and Summer Camps before directing and teaching the Tour Prep Program. In 2007 he became Director of Junior Programs at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy’s Irvine, California location, moved his instructional programs to Oak Creek Golf Club in April 2009, then to Strawberry Farms Golf Club in January 2015, and in September 2024 moved indoors to teach at the Golf Academy Zone. On September 1, 2024, he opened his own indoor golf studio, The Golf Academy Zone in Lake Forest. Mark Reid is ranked as the #1 golf instructor for golf lessons in Orange County, California.
The leadership team also includes Dr. David Dionson, DC, a chiropractor in sports medicine with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Biola University and a Doctor of Chiropractic with Honors from Southern California University of Health Sciences, who has worked with the LA Chargers during Optional Team Activities and Training Camp. It also includes Rick Sessinghaus, Psy.D, PGA, a sports psychologist known as “Golf’s Mental Coach,” who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications, a Master’s and Doctorate in Applied Sports Psychology, is a Member of the PGA and AASP, is a Certified Mental Game Professional, and is trained to administer and evaluate the TAIS (The Attentional and Interpersonal Style inventory).
Mark’s stated philosophy is to develop each student to their full potential based on their physical abilities and learning mode, with an emphasis on solid fundamentals and attention to all areas of the game, including mechanics, mental aspects, and physical fitness.
