Power of One - Lakewood offers Kids Karate (4-6), Youth Karate (7-12), and a Teen/Adult Program. Classes include self-defense skills, kenpo karate, jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing, as well as Cardio Kickboxing in a high-energy group class setting. The program offers a Free Trial Class and a no-judgment experience in a positive and uplifting environment that celebrates body positivity and self-love, where fun and humor are used to help members feel comfortable in their own skin.

The Power of One Self-Defense Institute has been teaching self-defense skills, kenpo karate, jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing for over 25 years and is founded on principles of teaching excellence, personal development, and perseverance. The Lakewood location is headed by the first full black belt family, Mr. Greg Bennett, Mrs. Tami Bennett, and Mr. Wylie Bennett. Instructors are personally selected for their skill and achievements in the martial arts and for their ability to effectively relate that knowledge and understanding to students of all age levels and backgrounds. This Power of One location is independently owned and operated as a licensed affiliate of Power of One Self Defense.
