JEI Learning Centre Hong Kong offers programmes in Math, English, Reading & Writing, Problem Solving Math, and Brain Safari. The programmes use JEI’s Self-Learning Method and individualised learning programmes based on each student’s needs and ability. Students work with programmed workbooks that have clear learning objectives, small steps, and a spiral structure, and they complete homework to reinforce concepts taught at the centre.
• Schedule: Students come to the centre once a week, and the weekly session for each subject is typically one hour long.
• Price: Tuition will vary from centre to centre. Most JEI Learning Centres are individually owned and operated. Please contact your nearest centre for more details.
JEI’s comprehensive diagnostic system analyses each student’s test results, pinpoints strengths and weaknesses, and prescribes an individual study program. Classes typically have a ratio of five students to one teacher, and well-qualified instructors use a proven method with a low student to instructor ratio. Students take weekly evaluations on recent concepts and cumulative level tests upon completion of a level to check mastery.
JEI Math focuses on conceptual understanding through a step-by-step approach to specific study objectives. The English programme builds a foundation in grammar, vocabulary, and reading skills through engaged learning. The Reading & Writing programme is literature-based and focuses on key comprehension strategies, overall writing quality, and creativity. Problem Solving Math is intended for advanced students and focuses on mastering different problem solving strategies. Brain Safari focuses on nine different learning domains of critical thinking, including logical and analytical skills, creativity, memory proficiency, and overall intelligence.
