About

Civil Air Patrol Cadet Programs includes activities such as leadership development, leadership training, aerospace education, model rocketry, flight training, and opportunities to solo fly an airplane. Cadets also take part in search and rescue, radio communications, physical fitness, character development, photography, astronomy, and assisting at major air shows throughout the nation. The program also includes options for traveling abroad through the International Air Cadet Exchange Program and uses aviation as a cornerstone of the cadet program, with thousands of young people introduced to aviation through a multi-step program where they can progress at their own pace and participate in special activities at the local, state, regional, and national levels.

• Ages: 12–18 years old
