Zai Martial Arts Academy

Zai Martial Arts Academy offers martial arts classes that include karate, kickboxing, jiu jitsu, Brazilian jiu jitsu (no gi), grappling, Muay Thai, and other striking arts. The program includes kids martial arts for students under 13 years old, as well as adult kickboxing and adult jiu-jitsu for students 13 years old and up.

• Schedule: Class options Monday–Saturday, with Awesome Kids (ages 4–6) martial arts and karate in the late afternoon on weekdays and morning on Saturdays, jiu jitsu and Awesome Kids jiu jitsu in the early evening on weekdays and late morning on Saturdays, and striking arts in the evening on weekdays and mid-morning on Saturdays

Founded in 1995, Zai Martial Arts Academy uses a unique curriculum developed by Master Zai that combines practical martial arts techniques with core values such as respect and focus. The leadership team includes Master Zai as Chief Instructor, Sensei Zaid as Head Instructor, and junior instructors Hawa and Iesa. Staff credentials include ranks and experience in Brazilian jiu jitsu, Kempo karate, Taekwondo, Kung Fu, boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai, and grappling classes are gender separated. The academy serves students from Livermore, Dublin, and Pleasanton and offers schedule options described by families as fitting well with different needs.
