Lodi Boys & Girls Club offers daily activities that include Power Hour (Homework Time), homework, reading, and educational worksheets. After these academic activities, members have time for a snack, age-appropriate structured programs, and free time for fun and relaxation.
• Schedule: The first hour every afternoon is PowerHour, followed by a short snack break, then age-appropriate structured programs that vary month-to-month, with the last hour of the afternoon as free time.
The Lodi Boys & Girls Club has been serving youth since 1963. Programs are developed around key elements for positive youth development: Safe, Inclusive Environments; Meaningful Programs & Experiences; Supportive Relationships; Expectations & Recognition. The club is governed by a board of directors, and daily operations are led by an Executive Director. The leadership team includes Executive Director Roger Coover, Program Director Margot Aguilar, Assistant Program Director Jennifer Hoover, and Office Manager Brittney Austin. The Board of Directors is chaired by Cathy Metcalf, with Vice Chair Suzanne Ledbetter and Secretary Danielle Spinella, and includes directors Kevin Borges, Blake Burnham, Rachel Crusenberry, Sgt. Chris Delgado, Steve Ding, Claire Forsythe, Barron Goldberg, Shereen Hays, Kerry Heckman, Dr. Elizabeth Johnson, Annie Patterson, Cinthya Oseguera, Andrea Pemberton, Sherri Schenone, and Adriana Vega. The Lodi Boys & Girls Club is a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which has over 5000 affiliated clubs. The mission of the Lodi Boys & Girls Club is to enable and inspire all young people, potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. To enroll, families print and complete the application form, then bring one application for each child to the club and meet the staff.
