World of Wonders Science Museum Programs include hands-on options such as the MakerSpace program, Barnyard BioFest, Construction Camp, Bugs And Critters Mania, and Spooktacular Crafts and Hands-on Fun. The programs also offer birthday parties, Field Study Trips, the WOW On Wheels Program, and activities like table and floor toys, outdoor games, building blocks, and water play. The museum features a Moon Walk Exhibit, which is a specific activity within the programs.

The mission of the World of Wonders Science Museum is to offer hands-on, science-based exhibits and programs to stimulate discovery for all ages. The museum also runs WOW Summer Science Camps, a MakerSpace program on Mondays, and offers birthday party options and a WOW Science Store. The Moon Walk Exhibit is sponsored by Max and Joan Lee.

The museum offers the WOW on Wheels program, which brings WOW Educators into classrooms, and field trips at the museum that are described as 1 hour and a half of hands-on science fun. Advance tickets are not required, and admission can be purchased upon arrival. Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and groups of 10 or more visitors are directed to call the museum for special rates at 209-368-0969.

During the holiday vacation, the museum is only closed on December 24th and 25th and is open every day, including Tuesdays, through January 1st from 10:00am to 5:00pm. It is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, and Easter Sunday, and will be closed to the public August 10th through August 14th, 2026, for Staff Appreciation Week. On July 4th, the museum is open from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Community involvement includes support from gala sponsors for the museum’s expansion project, including the Cortopassi Family Foundation, Scientific Specialties, Inc., Mataga of Stockton Cadillac GMC, Crete Family Foundation, and Lakewood Meats and Sausage.
