About
FC Long Beach Blues Jr. Academy offers a Jr. Academy program focused on soccer. The Jr. Academy program is geared toward non-club players interested in increasing their soccer abilities and is coached by licensed and experienced coaches from the LA Breakers FC Long Beach organization.
• Schedule: Launches on October 18, 2024
For over 30 years, teams have emerged from the Long Beach Youth Soccer Organization (LBYSO), which introduced Cal South’s Signature League program in 2003. By 2004, three teams transitioned from the Signature League into the Coast Soccer League, laying the foundation for what is now FC Long Beach. In 2006, FC Long Beach appointed a Technical Director to enhance teams' training and ensure coaches deliver top-quality instruction.
The club’s leadership team includes Club President Mark Jauregui, Club Administrator & Registrar Michelle Hastings, Girls Director Fabian Santillan, Director of Coaching and Technical Director Mark Hervin, Marketing/Baby Blues Director Adriana Santillan, and Boys Director Victor Merino. Technical Director Mark Hervin holds a UEFA “B” and USSF "A" coaching license. FC Long Beach emphasizes player development, particularly in the younger age groups, and remains committed to teaching its teams to play the game with skill and integrity, both in training and in matches.
LBYSO is a Cal South recreational program that serves the youth of Long Beach and its surrounding communities and has grown to include nearly 2,000 boys and girls. Today, LBYSO supports over 1,400 boys and girls in recreational soccer, 10 teams in the Signature League, and 21 teams in Club Soccer.
