First Touch Soccer was formed in 2017 as a local, community-based soccer provider. Its mission is to provide high quality training sessions delivered with enthusiasm, knowledge and fun. Company beliefs include Evolution, Fearlessness, Transparency, Purpose Driven, and Integrity, and the training philosophy includes a focus on technical development and a 50% rule in which players have a ball each for 50% of a training session. As of Summer 2024, players are evaluated on Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork rather than their technical or tactical ability.

All trainers are vetted and background checked before working on the field, and the majority have completed US Soccer licenses or equivalent. All coaches have access to The Coaching Manual to plan, prepare, and deliver training sessions, and they are overseen by the Director of Coaching. Harry Doyle and Sam Hunt serve as Directors, and Kiran Patel leads Los Angeles Operations; Harry Doyle holds an FA Level 2 certification and a USSF C License, and Kiran Patel holds a UEFA B and a USSF C License. The organization states that it does not want to just develop good soccer players, but also good people, using soccer as the vehicle for wider life lessons.

First Touch Soccer offers half-day and full-day soccer camps and also runs Academies that include one practice per week with a First Touch Soccer coach and usually a scrimmage on the weekend overseen by staff. Scrimmages in the Academy program do not require uniforms and no rosters are selected, and the Academy is described as a developmental program that includes a jersey in the cost. Team Training is also available, in which a First Touch Soccer trainer works alongside a team’s head coach to provide guidance, expertise, and insight, and this is described as an affordable way to get high-quality training for a team throughout the season. The program notes that it does not provide lunch for players.
