Gravity Dance Company

Gravity Dance Company offers combo classes for pre-school and early elementary children, with creative movement and intro to dance that cover ballet and jazz and are led by early childhood education experts. The program also offers ballet, tap in four styles, jazz, hip-hop with traditional hip-hop styles plus pop culture and viral dances, lyrical/contemporary, modern, acro, musical theater, and competition teams.

Programs

• Combo Classes — pre-school - early elementary aged children · Creative movement and intro to dance. Covers ballet and jazz. Led by early childhood education experts.
• Ballet — Classical. Traditional. The Foundation. Required for each student to enroll in at least one ballet class.
• Tap — Rhythm. Sound. Syncopation. Training in 4 styles of tap: rhythm, classical, broadway and post-modern.
• Jazz — Style. Isolations. Performance.
• Hip-Hop — Pop. Lock. Drop. Weekly training in traditional hip-hop styles as well as pop culture and viral dances.
• Lyrical/Contemporary — Lyrical combines ballet, jazz and acrobatic elements. Contemporary has a modern dance emphasis.
• Modern — Contract. Release. Fall. Stems from the core and emphasizes floor work, fall and recovery and improvisation.
• Acro — Tumble. Flip. Twist. Combines dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. Several levels depending on experience level.
• Competition Teams — Gravity is home to 6 competition teams. Auditions are held annually in June and private auditions are available for those with the required experience level.
• Musical Theater — Emote. Express. Perform. Jazz-based class filled with Broadway style dancing and music.

• Ages: 2–18 years old
• General schedule: To enroll, dancers must take a minimum of 4 classes per week. One must be ballet. For dancers ages 4 and over, there is a 4 class weekly minimum and one class must be ballet, fulfilled by one of the ballet classes and/or Saturday Combo Classes for the tiny dancers.

About the provider

Gravity Dance Company was established in 2012. It is described as an award-winning studio, with a dance team featured in ABC's 'Abbott Elementary,' for the LA Sparks, the LA Lakers, IPSY's beauty brand campaign, Lifetime's 'Dance Moms,' the viral 'Happy Birthday' song music video, and Nascar. The studio is listed as having 5x National champions in the competitive circuit for the 2022 competition season, and it describes its community involvement as an inclusive atmosphere building and bonding dancers from all walks of life.

Business hours are 4:00pm-8:00pm Monday-Thursday, 4:00-6:30pm Fridays, and 9:00am-12:00pm Saturdays. Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Late fees are applied to tuition not rendered on the 1st via auto-pay. In studio payments must be rendered 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the due date to avoid being charged via auto-pay. Parents are responsible for reviewing the studio handbook and adhering to studio policies, including the 1-year policy, dress code, and all terms and conditions.
