• Schedule: Before- and after-school care included from 6am–6pm, with full-day Kindergarten from 8:30am–4pm
Oakwood Academy Schools began in 1975 with a single preschool and is celebrating 50 years. The founder and president is Phyllis Duke. The program is rooted in Christian-based principles and includes extended care from 6am–6pm and full-day Kindergarten from 8:30am–4pm. Holiday break child care is available, and families can choose multiple tuition payment plans, including weekly, monthly, or four-week tuition plans. The campuses use a safe and secure system where families receive individual gate access codes, and students are supervised to their parent or guardian during pick-up. Oakwood Academy Schools notes a small student-teacher ratio and describes its educators as qualified and caring. The school reports having over 20 team members who have served there for 10–35 years. The mission statement explains that the goal from the beginning was to create a school that offered strong academics in an environment where children feel cared for, respected, and supported as individuals.
