About the provider
LBYSO was formed in 1983 as a volunteer-run youth soccer league. Its mission is to provide a safe, low cost and organized environment for young players of all ages and abilities to learn the basics of soccer, while also focusing on youth well-being, self-esteem, sportsmanship, and a lifelong passion for the sport. LBYSO follows the rules and guidelines of US Club Soccer, Cal South, the US Soccer Federation, and US Youth Soccer, with minor LBYSO league specific adjustments. The organization is volunteer run, and its community involvement includes coaching teams, serving as Team Parent/Manager, applying for Board positions, attending free Skills Nights clinics, and sharing sponsorship or fundraising opportunities.
LBYSO follows the rules and guidelines of US Club Soccer, Cal South, the US Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer, with minor LBYSO league specific adjustments. Fall 2026 registration is closed. The Team Parent Registration opens each spring and fall for the following season and is a separate registration from the player registrations. Opens May 1 Spring 2026.
