Long Beach Youth Soccer Organization offers a fall season that includes practices, season games for in-house teams, playoffs, and special events such as a GOAL-A-THON EVENT and Spirit Game Day. The program also runs free Skills Nights clinics, Player Evaluations, a Mandatory Coaches Meeting, and PINK SOCK SALES FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS during the season.
• Schedule: Important fall dates include registration closing on June 27, coaches registration closing on June 30 (pending availability), Player Evaluations on July 11–12, rosters locked on August 1, practices officially starting August 3 (with coach requirements completed), a Mandatory Coaches Meeting on August 9, free Skills Nights for U5–U10 on August 14, 21, 28 and September 11, the GOAL-A-THON EVENT on August 29, the in-house season beginning September 12 (weather permitting), PINK SOCK SALES FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS on September 19 and 26, Halloween games played on October 31, Spirit Game Day on October 24, the regular season ending November 14, and playoffs on November 21–22.
• Price: This registration form allows families to provide information, sign consents, and submit payment via credit card.
LBYSO was formed in 1983 as a volunteer-run, fully independent youth soccer league serving the Long Beach area. LBYSO’s mission is to provide a safe, low cost and organized environment in the community for young players of all ages and abilities to learn the basics of the game, enhancing youth well-being, self-esteem, sense of sportsmanship and creating a lifelong passion for the sport of soccer, and to positively impact the development of youth and help raise the level of soccer in the city. LBYSO is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit organization and is a member of US Club Soccer and Cal South, and by extension is a member of the US Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer. The organization relies on the community’s time, talent and treasure to make each season a success and asks families to consider supporting.
