Long Beach Youth Soccer Organization offers youth soccer league play supported by free Skills Nights clinics. The program includes FREE SKILLS NIGHTS FOR U5-U10 on February 6, 13, 20, and 27 as part of its spring activities.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Spring season with key dates from December registration through a March 7 in-house season start and a May 16 regular season end
LBYSO was formed in 1983 as a volunteer-run, fully independent youth soccer league serving the Long Beach area. LBYSO's mission is to provide a safe, low cost and organized environment in the community for young players of all ages and playing abilities to learn the basics of the game, enhancing youth well-being, self-esteem, sense of sportsmanship and creating a lifelong passion for the sport of soccer, and aiming to positively impact the development of youth and help raise the level of soccer in the city. LBYSO is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit organization and is a member of US Club Soccer, Cal South and, by extension, the US Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer. The organization notes that it relies on the community's time, talent and treasure to make each season a success.
