Los Altos Youth Baseball & Softball offers youth baseball and youth softball. The program includes instruction in the fundamentals of youth baseball and softball and emphasizes qualities such as good sportsmanship, a sense of fair play, respect for the game, and how to compete with class.

Los Altos Youth Baseball & Softball states that it is committed to providing every youth in the community the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of youth baseball and softball in a safe, family oriented and educational environment. The program states that it is committed to the safety and wellbeing of players, parents and fans, and follows guidelines put forth by the City of Long Beach for participation in youth sports, along with additional guidelines that focus on the program and facility at El Dorado Park. The league has completed a training with the City of Long Beach and has been granted permits to continue its softball and baseball program. Volunteering and coaching opportunities are available in the league. BABE RUTH (Ages 13–14) Spring 2026 registration is now open, a 2025 Winter Development Program is offered, and a 2023 LAYBS digital yearbook is available for download.
