About
Loomis Community Preschool is a play-based parent participation preschool where parents and caregivers are actively involved with daily class activities and with the school philosophy and rules. Parents and caregivers work in the classroom as teachers’ assistants under the direction of a professional director/teacher, and the program maintains a high adult-to-child ratio. It operates as a non-profit child enrichment program.
At Loomis Community Preschool, children’s natural curiosity, creativity, and confidence is nurtured and enhanced through a wide range of hands-on, play-based activities and experiences. The program describes itself as a welcoming community of teachers, parents, and children who work hand-in-hand to provide a safe, caring environment that encourages the development of the whole child and fosters cooperation, communication, and respect. Loomis Community Preschool is a non-profit child enrichment program serving the communities of Loomis, Rocklin, Roseville, and surrounding areas. The school is a member of the California Council of Parent Participatory Nursery Schools, and its Board of Directors is composed of parents who oversee the financial and operational functions of the school. The program states that it does not discriminate by race, color, national or ethnic origin, creed, religion, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, or status.
