Bay Area Dance School

Bay Area Dance School offers Pre-School Dance for children 5 and under, including Mommy & Me classes for 2-year-olds, plus Pre-Ballet, Pre-Jazz/Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Boys Only Classes, School Dance, Acuity Competition Team, and Summer Session. The Summer Session includes ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and acro-dance. Pre-School Dance classes are 45 minutes long.

• Pre-Ballet — Introductory ballet course with music appreciation, creative movement, storytelling, listening skills, poise, proper body alignment, and foundational technique.
• Pre-Jazz/Tap — Introductory class for children to explore rhythm, movements, and music while developing listening skills, posture, and confidence.

About the provider

Bay Area Dance School was established in 2012. The owner/director is Leyla Boissonnade, and team members listed include Katie Baik, Danielle De Ojeda, Cynthia Drayer Reyes, Renee Lee, and Elizabeth Lemberger. The mission statement says the school fosters a love of dance through high-quality technical instruction in a nurturing, supportive environment.
