About

Art Camp offers safe, creative, and fun workshops inspired by LACMA’s collection. Art Camp 2025–26 workshops are inspired by LACMA’s collection and are led by a team of creative museum educators and artists. Due to construction, art camp will take place in gallery spaces and outdoors on LACMA's campus.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Art Camp hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am–3 pm, with some exceptions.
• Price: L.A. County kids are eligible for discounted pricing through NexGenLA.

Art Camp is designed for children ages 6 and older, and children ages 5 and under will not be admitted. Students must be the minimum age for their age group by the start of camp.

Enrollment for Spring Art Camp will open online on Wednesday, February 11, at 1 pm. Registration is only available online, and account sign-up and login is necessary to register. If a family does not have a My LACMA account, it is stated that they should set one up and test it prior to registering, and if they already have a My LACMA account, it is recommended that they test it by logging in prior to registering. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, space is limited, and camp does sell out. Payment is required upon registration. NexGenLA enrollment cannot be expedited, and it is recommended to submit the NexGenLA enrollment form at least three weeks in advance to allow sufficient time for processing. LACMA's scholarship application is available online. The camp schedule and enrollment information for summer 2026 will be available in March.

Students must wear comfortable clothes and shoes, with no flip flops or skate shoes. A supervised one-hour lunch break is scheduled each day, and families are asked to pack a nut-free lunch and water bottle every day. If a child has any allergies or special needs, families are asked to notify the Art Class Coordinator prior to the Art Camp start date. Personal items such as clothing and lunches should be labeled with the student’s name. No toys or games are permitted, and students are asked to refrain from using cell phones during camp hours.

LACMA’s mission is to serve the public through the collection, conservation, exhibition, and interpretation of significant works of art from a broad range of cultures and historical periods, and through the translation of these collections into educational, aesthetic, intellectual, and cultural experiences for the widest array of audiences. All education and outreach programs at LACMA are underwritten by the LACMA Education Fund. Since 2007, the museum has operated a gallery at Charles White Elementary School in MacArthur Park, where LACMA presents museum-caliber exhibitions and programs in partnership with the school and surrounding communities.
