Mike Schy Golf Performance Institute offers golf lessons, golf fittings, and private instruction for junior golfers and adults, including first-time student sessions that include an introduction to the facility and programs, video swing analysis, club evaluation, and a traditional 30 minute lesson. The program provides a range of specific services such as putter, wedge, iron, driver, and grip fittings, a junior fitness program, club repair and upgrades, shaft and grip replacement, club head stamping, the True Aim Putting Clinic, Sportsbox 3D three-dimensional motion analysis of the golf swing, Vector Green Reading, and a 60 Minute Confidence Program. Golfers of all levels from basic to advanced are welcome, and the institute specializes in the coaching and development of collegiate and junior golfers, as well as the further development of elite junior golfers and golfers pursuing a highly competitive golf game or professional career.

The institute’s leadership is headed by Mike Schy, PGA, Director of Instruction, who is a PGA Tour Coach and became a PGA professional in 1990, was ranked a top 4 junior golfer in 1990, was medalist during the US Junior Amateur Qualifying tournament of 1978, and played for the Fresno State University Golf Team from 1979–1984. Additional instructors include Brandon Frazier, who has 20 years of teaching and playing experience, is a former police officer turned golf instructor, and is a certified club fitter for Avoda, Krank, Cobra, Callaway, Titleist, Taylormade, Ping, Mizuno, and Henry Griffitts, and Tom James, a PGA Certified Professional and San Jose State alumni with 20 years of teaching and playing experience, past caddy experience on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour, and the same club fitting certifications. The program’s mission statement says the golf coaching academy exists to improve golfers' skills and foster a sense of community through expert coaching, state-of-the-art facilities, and customized training plans, and that it is driven by a passion for golf, a desire to share knowledge and expertise, and a belief in continuous learning.

Student achievements listed by the institute include a 2016 Masters Tournament Silver Cup recipient (low amateur), a course record 60 at Belmont Country Club, 2016 Mountain West Championship First Place, the 91st California State Fair Championship, the 2015 NCAA Men’s Individual Championship, 2015 Australian Masters Runner Up, 2015 U.S. Amateur Championship, 2014 LasPo Open Championship, 2014 Northern California Amateur of the Year, and participation in the President's Cup, Ryder Cup, PGA and many more.
