About
AYSO Region 18 Soccer Camps offers soccer training through organized soccer camps. The program includes three-hour sessions that focus on structured soccer activities. Camps are run by coach training providers EVO Soccer Programs and managed by AYSO Region 18, with players initially grouped by age and adjusted by coaches if needed to fit the camp environment for players of all ages and abilities.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Camp options in 2026 on February 9–13 and April 6–10, with 5U–14U sessions from 9:00am–12:00pm in three-hour blocks
• Price: $250 per player
Players are asked to wear comfortable clothing, shoes such as cleats or sneakers, socks, and shin guards for each session. They are encouraged to bring a soccer ball if they have one, with coaches providing extras if needed. Families are instructed to apply sunscreen before camp each day, send additional sunscreen in bags, and pack plenty of water. Each day includes a break at 10:30am, and players are asked to bring a healthy snack and be picked up on time after camp.
AYSO Region 18 states its mission as providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives. The region notes that all of its referees are volunteers and that it provides high-quality, low-cost soccer for kids. The leadership team includes Regional Commissioner Krista Skinner, Assistant Regional Commissioner Baldeep Sadhal, Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA) Nedra Yost, Referee Administrator Dan Angress, Regional Coach Administrator Steve Hershkowitz, Registrar Byron Eguchi, Safety Director Hares Najand, Treasurer Anthony Lombardo, and Regional Coach Instructor Mark Hodson.
American Youth Soccer Organization highlights community involvement through partnerships, including a Chicago Public Schools partnership to enhance youth sports programming for fifth through eighth grade, a partnership with the US Center for Mental Health & Sport focused on player and volunteer wellness, and a partnership with Northland Sports Alliance to expand soccer programming in Kansas City. AYSO leadership has also been recognized through the Stack Leadership Award given to Michael Karon, President of AYSO, for his impact in the world of sports volunteering.
