De Barra Academy of Irish Dance offers Tiny Tots for ages 4-5, Beginners for ages 6+, Intermediate for ages 8+, Pre-Championship and Championship levels, Adult Classes, Private Lessons, Workshops, and a Summer Camp. Tiny Tots meets Friday from 4:15 to 5:00 pm, and Beginners meets Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm and Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Pre-Championship and Championship levels meet Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday from 6:00 to 8:30 pm, and Friday from 6:00 to 8:30 pm; Private Lessons are on Saturday.

About the provider

The academy is led by Tara Barry-Phelan, who is a two-time World Champion, a former Principal Dancer of Riverdance, and a fully qualified TCRG. The academy says its mission is to inspire, empower, and bring together dancers of all ages through the joy of Irish dance, and it describes a community-first approach with opportunities for both competitive and non-competitive dancers.

No prior experience needed for Beginners. Parents are generally encouraged to maintain a focused environment in the studio; parent observation days or performances are offered throughout the year. Students can participate in local feiseanna, regional competitions, and major championships. Private lessons are offered. Seasonal workshops and summer camps are offered.
