• Ages: 12–18 years old
• Schedule: Parking is available on Oak Street, 19th Street, or Sepulveda Blvd. after 7 p.m.
• Price: The interview prep training alone was worth the price of the course.
The Manhattan Actor Studio was established in a collaborative effort with Brooklyn Bridge Productions and also functions as a full-service production office. It was driven by the vision to create a secure, inspiring, and positive environment for artists to grow. Artists of all levels, including novice actors and seasoned writers, directors, and producers, are welcomed to refine their skills and pursue their passions, with creative and production needs offered under one roof, where scripts can turn into performances and auditions can lead to productions.
The studio is led by Billy Gallo, who has over 40 years of hands-on experience in the industry as an actor, writer, and producer, with experience from both sides of the casting table, and has been a working actor, producer, and writer for almost 40 years. Community feedback is available through reviews on Yelp.
Parent and student testimonials describe A+ training, acting training that was excellent, and interview prep training that was worth the price of the course. They describe Billy Gallo as an amazing acting coach, and note experiences in private acting lessons and group classes in the Actors Gym, as well as training that included interviewing, preparation, communication, executing in a pressure filled situation, and public speaking. One parent notes that a teen son has been learning the essentials of acting at the school for 2 years and describes every class as rich with real advice.
