Musical Theatre Camp

Musical Theatre Camp includes group warmups and vocal technique, character development and performance exercises, theatrical crafts and creative workshops, and movement, dance, and stage presence. The program also features ensemble rehearsals that lead to a student-written performance. The week culminates in a thematic, student-written musical theatre performance for family and friends on Friday, July 24 at 3:30 PM.

Musical Theatre Camp is offered by Coast Music, a family business founded in 2004 by Beth and Matt Rohde. Coast Music has over 21 years of experience teaching music and is fully accredited by WASC. The leadership team includes Founder & Music Director Beth Rohde, Founder Matt Rohde, Band Director Marti Harris, and General Manager Angie Deters. Coast Music has over 30 music instructors who teach guitar, piano, voice, drums, strings, and more, and who perform, record, and teach in the music field. No previous musical experience is required to participate, and out-of-town students may apply for a host family program with trusted local families providing housing, breakfast, and dinner in private or shared rooms. Coast Music is rated 5.0 stars on Google Reviews and offers private music lessons, music classes, online music courses, and summer music programs.
