Regal Tutors

Regal Tutors offers private at-your-home tutoring with professional teachers who have certifications in education. It also offers enrichment programs that include science experiments, countries, reading comprehension with Esio Trot, spelling practice, and multiplication using skip counting and online tools.

Programs

• Private at-your-home tutoring — preschool through college · customers create their own schedules; standing appointments and late night tutoring are available for concierge tutoring · Professional teachers with certifications in education; regular one-on-one tutoring; concierge tutoring available for extra support and services.
• Enrichment programs — preschool and elementary school students · Programs come directly to your home and are for groups of one to four students.
• Science Experiments enrichment program — preschool through first grade; second through fifth grade · Hands-on science enrichment; one hour for preschool, kindergarten, and first-grade students; about 30 minutes for second through fifth-grade students.
• Countries enrichment program — preschool through fourth grade · Includes a passport and a stamp for every country explored; one hour for younger learners and 30 minutes per country for older students.
• Reading Comprehension enrichment program — second through sixth grade · Seven one-hour sessions using Esio Trot.
• Spelling enrichment program — One-on-one spelling program with assessment and targeted practice; sessions range from 30 to 60 minutes.
• Multiplication enrichment program — second through fifth grade; some junior high and high school students as well · Uses skip counting and online tools; a productive start on a new set of facts takes around 30 minutes.

About the provider

Marci is the owner of Regal Tutors, and she has been tutoring for more than 20 years. Phillip has over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience, Geanie has been teaching for more than 20 years, and Jazmine has over five years of teaching experience. Tutors have certifications in education and experience working as traditional classroom teachers. Marci earned a teaching credential and a master’s degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Phillip has a BA in Mathematics and Economics, an MA in Economics, and a PhD in Political Science. Geanie has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Teaching Credential from Cal State, Long Beach. Jazmine earned a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and an M.A. from Loyola Marymount University.

• Concierge tutoring — standing appointments and late night tutoring are available · For families needing extra support and services.
• Virtual tutoring — Available for families outside the in-person service area.

Bookings are accepted up to 80 days in advance. New lessons do not require login; login is only needed to reschedule or cancel. They do not schedule last-minute appointments for new clients. Jazmine will be on a temporary leave of absence starting September 1st.
