About

TADA Stages offers training classes in musical theater performance, including Musical Theater, Voice, Acting, Dance, Broadway dance, Sketch comedy, and Improv. Programs begin as young as the My Stage 3 Arts class, where performers sing, dance, and act their way through a 15-minute showcase at the end of the season in December or May. My Stage students get the opportunity to be in two full-length musical theater productions per school year, with performances in December and May on professionally designed sets with lights, props, costumes, and mics.

• Ages: 3–17 years old

Programs begin as young as 3 years old in the My Stage 3 Arts class, which offers an introduction to the performing arts and builds confidence through creative play. Performers ages 3–5 years old participate in a 15-minute showcase at the end of the season, and the 3 Arts performers wear costumes and perform under stage lights. Musical Theater Fundamentals & Confidence Classes are offered for ages 6 and up, and training classes in all aspects of musical theater performance are available from ages 3 to 17 years old.

My Stage Musicals is described by the program as its most sought-after offering, with each cast made up of two age groups, either kindergarten through 2nd grade or 3rd–5th grade, meeting one time per week between 12–16 weeks. Each cast includes 16 students who perform twice for an audience, and each cast is guided by two directors who provide choreography, scene work, and musical direction. Practice videos and music are provided to parents to support students throughout the process, and minimizing the number of students per cast is stated as a way to give each child more opportunities to learn and grow.

The program notes that small class sizes and a maximum of 12 children or students per class are part of its structure, and that small casts ensure roles for all children. It offers a 45-minute musical in December and May, as well as a 15-minute musical review in December and May. TADA Stages also runs performing arts summer camps throughout the entire summer, which are described as wildly popular and selling out quickly.

TADA Stages states that it is home for the “living room performer” and is home to Puttin' On Productions (POPs), a California 501-c3 non-profit organization. POPs produces multiple musical theater productions every year for ages 8–18, along with community productions for all ages, in theater venues that seat anywhere from 500–1500. The program’s mission statement is “To nurture life skills and confidence by building Education and Self Love through the Performing Arts!”

The program highlights industry-professional, loving, dedicated instructors and notes that both companies were founded by Julia Mirkovich, with TADA Stages LLC established by 2020. Families describe their experiences in several testimonials, including parents who report their children feeling part of a team, gaining confidence on stage, and using skills such as projection and eye contact in school reports, as well as a student who describes feeling empowered by mentors and grateful to be in class.
