Boys & Girls Clubs of Manteca and Lathrop

Boys & Girls Clubs of Manteca and Lathrop focuses on youth development through a club experience that is based on four basic principles. The program’s youth development strategy is used as the foundation of every program and activity offered through Boys & Girls Clubs of Manteca and Lathrop. The program aims for members to experience a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Club hours available Monday–Friday during the school year and on MUSD minimum days, with separate hours for summer and holidays

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Manteca and Lathrop is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need the program most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The organization’s vision is a thriving Manteca and Lathrop where every young person feels safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. The club states that it invests in the whole child and strengthens the families and communities around them to create pathways to lifelong success and brighter futures for all. Its expectations and goals for young people are that they become responsible citizens and leaders who are able to support themselves and live successful lives, with a healthy self-concept, a strong belief in self-worth, and a sense of hope about their future. The club also states that it wants to inspire youth to set and attain their goals while making the necessary decisions to achieve their life plans. The program relies on the combined efforts of youth professionals, parents, volunteers, concerned citizens, schools, and local community partners coming together to provide a positive club experience for all youth.
