Studio650 Company Program includes recreational dance classes and year-round competitive dance companies. Company dancers take technique and style classes, rehearse for competition routines, and train in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and ballet, with tap offered as an optional style. Company teams participate in four competitions each year, three team-bonding events, two conventions, and a national dance competition each season.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Mini Company meets twice per week; Junior, Teen, and Senior Companies train 4–5 times per week, totaling 6–8 hours of weekly training
• Price: Mini Company: $350/month. Petite, Junior, Pre-teen, Teen & Senior Companies: $650/month. Tuition covers all company rehearsals as well as unlimited access to open classes.
Studio650 Company Program includes eight companies for ages 4–18: Mini, Petite, Junior, Pre-teen, Teen 1/2, and Senior 1/2, with multiple team levels within each age group. Placement is determined during auditions based on across-the-floor exercises, learning combinations in a variety of styles, group performances, and evaluation of technique, performance, and focus. Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior Company dancers may take any open classes on the schedule as part of their tuition. Each season, dancers attend four regional competitions, typically held in the Bay Area, and a national competition each summer, with past locations including Anaheim, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Lake Tahoe, and San Diego. Dancers attend two conventions each season to learn from renowned choreographers and industry professionals and receive guidance from a nutritionist to encourage healthy eating habits and daily exercise.
Studio650, formerly known as Captivating Dance by Nona, is entering its 18th season. The program states a mission dedicated to a supportive environment where students can explore their passion for dance and develop their skills to their fullest potential, with core values of sportsmanship, compassion, positivity, and hard work. The program describes itself as an award-winning dance team. Auditions for the 2026–2027 season are held in late May.
