About

The Mission Viejo Nadadores Diving Program offers springboard diving, platform diving, and related skills such as jumping, flipping, and twisting. Divers use equipment that supports skill progression for a wide range of abilities.

• Schedule: Weekdays, 10am to 5pm; closed on weekends
• Price: Price varies $155–550; private or semi-private lessons pricing starts $120.00 an hour

The program’s mission is to develop champions in the water and leaders in life by providing an inclusive, diverse, and safe environment for athletes to pursue competitive success while learning life skills through professionally organized programming and events, and by providing opportunities to become active community leaders. The program offers multiple pathways, including an Elite Dive Team, Novice Dive Team, dive lessons, high school diving, masters diving, Gym 2 Dive, Bitty Bouncers Diving, a recreational pathway for divers to explore the sport, a lessons program for those interested in twists and flips, a masters program for fitness and recreation, a high school athletes program to prepare for the high school competitive season, a home school diving program that collaborates with home school schedules, and Gym 2 Dive for current or former gymnasts interested in diving. MVN coaches also offer private lessons for individuals and small groups of athletes.

The Long Term Athlete Development Model is the cornerstone of the Mission Viejo Nadadores Diving Program, and the primary goal is to instill a lifelong love for sport and activity in athletes. The coaching staff is dedicated to providing a positive, respectful, and disciplined learning environment, and all coaches are up to date on current SafeSport training. The Mission Viejo Nadadores Diving Program adheres to the principles and protocols established by the U.S. Center for SafeSport.

The team is an affiliate of USA Diving, Inc., the national governing body of springboard and platform diving in the United States, which is a successor to the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and an independent non-profit corporation formed to promote and improve diving in the United States. USA Diving is a member of United States Aquatics Sports, Inc. and World Aquatics.

Recommended items for divers include a one-piece suit for girls and a brief or jammers for boys, along with a towel, water bottle, comfortable clothes, and tennis shoes. Parents are allowed to watch from the parent bleachers outside of the pool, and no parents are allowed on deck.
