The Dragonfly Art for Life Classes offer drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting, digital art, animation, mixed media, printmaking, portrait art, anime, and awareness through art. The program also includes activities in painting, preschool process art, sewing, beginning and ongoing sewing classes, and access to a sewing studio with open studio time. Surfaces used in classes include canvas, watercolor paper, pastel paper, wood, mixed media, and sewing and textile art.

• Schedule: Class and studio options Tuesday–Saturday afternoons and evenings, with Sunday available by appointment
• Price: $100 per month includes a complimentary studio membership.
The Dragonfly Art for Life is a working art studio with open space for artists to come and create, and member benefits include use of the facility and materials during operating hours. Both private and group classes are offered, and private parties, birthday parties, and team building events are available upon request. Classes run throughout the month, and a complimentary studio membership is included with the monthly class fee.
Barbara opened The Dragonfly Art for Life in November 2018. She has degrees in Art, Child Development, and a Master's in Education. Teaching instructor and studio partner Patrick Barr has more than 20 years of experience as a professional artist, with a background that includes The Academy of Art College and Disney Animation Studios, and experience as an animator, illustrator, and teacher in the Central Valley. The studio follows an open-air concept and welcomes artists with all levels of experience, and Barbara describes it as an oasis that promotes self-care and healing through the creative process.
Barbara has been an advocate for art in the community for a number of years. The studio has partnered with local schools and Girl Scouts, and it offers classes for students in TK–8 and after school programs.
