The Dragonfly Art for Life

The Dragonfly Art for Life offers art classes, educational programs for TK–12, special needs programs, school enrichment programs, Girl Scouts badge workshops, and Friday paint nights and paint pours. Friday paint nights and paint pours begin at 6:00 pm and are available by appointment. Educational programs are offered on campus and as interactive field trips at the studio, and some programs are offered in-studio or at local businesses.

• Girl Scouts — Creative, hands-on experiences to help scouts complete badges, including the Comic Book Drawing Badge. Flexible scheduling; studio or offsite events available. Minimum of 8 scouts required.

• Art classes — Offered at the studio.
• School enrichment programs — Offered as part of the studio's services.

About the provider

Barbara Alvarado opened The Dragonfly Art for Life in November 2018. Barbara has degrees in Art, Child Development, and a Master's in Education. Patrick Barr is the Lead Master Artist, and Lalaine Violante teaches classes and offers interpretation in Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL). The studio was voted Best in Modesto 2025.
