Art Time Classes introduces students to drawing and painting through activities such as using a charcoal pencil, pastels, watercolor painting, and oil painting. The program includes instruction in building drawings from simple shapes and creating colorful, 3-dimensional effects for life-like finished work. Students also learn about watercolor materials, the difference between primary, secondary, and complementary colors, and how to mix a wide array of colors, as well as complete a specifically designed series of painting drills in oils.

Art Time Classes uses The Gluck Method art instruction program and blends techniques of the Great Masters with the latest in multi-media technology. The program includes a fun, simplified version of great masters’ traditions, and students learn techniques used by painters such as Monet, Manet, Cezanne, and Rembrandt. According to the program’s mission, Art Time teaches that drawing and painting beautifully are teachable and learnable activities, that talent can be acquired, and that anyone can learn how to draw and paint beautifully using its approach.
