Great Beginnings Early Learning Center offers art, music, drama, gardening, and nature exploration as part of its daily activities. The program also includes a Summer Camp, a Gardening Program, Art & Music Activities, Family Engagement Events, and Graduation Celebrations & Milestones. Children spend time in bright, nature-inspired classrooms and outdoor spaces that include gardens, sensory tables, spacious play areas, and outdoor play areas.

The mission of Great Beginnings Early Learning Center is to provide play-based, nature-inspired early education for children aged 12 months to 6 years in Monterey, with a play-based, child-centered approach that respects each child’s unique personality, abilities, and learning style and honors where they are developmentally while gently guiding them forward socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively, based on the belief that children thrive when curiosity leads to learning. The program is led by Andrea, the director, and staffed by experienced, compassionate teachers.
Parents describe the teacher-to-child ratio as fantastic and the facilities as excellent, and they note that the outdoor play areas are fantastic and the daily activities are age-appropriate, fun, and purposeful.
