About
Summer at Santa Catalina includes time exploring new talents in class, going on adventures around Monterey Bay, cheering for their camp team—Checks or Stripes—and bonding with their camper group. The program is offered as both a sleepaway and day camp and takes place on a 36-acre Spanish-style campus. Campers are organized into camp teams called Checks and Stripes as part of the program’s activities.

• Schedule: In 1-week, 2-week, and 5-week sessions
Summer at Santa Catalina is dedicated to the mental, emotional, and spiritual growth of girls through experiential education, and the summer camp program strives to nurture girls as they begin to build their independence and self-reliance. The program is led by Director of Auxiliary Programs Ange Atkinson. Architectural Digest named Santa Catalina the most beautiful private high school in California. Campers have opportunities to partner with scientists from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute and hear from experts at institutions such as the Naval Postgraduate School, Middlebury Institute of International Studies, and the Panetta Institute for Public Policy. The camp is a tech-free camp community for girls ages 7–14.
