California Academy of Performing Arts

California Academy of Performing Arts offers technique classes in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, and Jazz for dancers age 7 and up. The classes are taught from beginning to advanced levels, and placement is at the genre director’s discretion. Contemporary, Jazz, and Tap classes perform in the June Show, Ballet 1 and Ballet 2 perform dances in the June Show, and Ballet 3 and above are technique only classes.

About the provider

California Academy of Performing Arts was founded in 1981. Its mission is to teach the art of dance and theatre in a professional manner, by enriching students with lifelong skills that can benefit them in whatever path they take. CAPA students have joined professional dance companies in the US and abroad, appeared on the Broadway stage, and worked in television and commercials. Some alumni have joined the staff at CAPA.
