Mountain House Sailfish Swim Club is part of Mountain House Flag Football, Inc., which was formed in 2009 by local residents to provide quality recreational sports leagues and activities for kids and adults in Mountain House and surrounding areas. Mountain House Flag Football, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, and MH Sailfish Swim Club is part of this nonprofit organization. The Sailfish is part of the East County Swim League, where they hold meets with other swim organizations, and all kids on the swim team are eligible for swim meets, with coaches selecting events for each swimmer.
Classes are structured with a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio, which may occasionally rise to 5:1 for higher-level groups. Seasons include Spring (March–May), Summer (June–August), and Fall (September–November), and the Summer Season starts on June 8, 2026, with lessons offered Monday through Saturday. For the summer session, weekday lessons run from 12:00 PM–2:30 PM and 7:00 PM–9:00 PM, and Saturday lessons are held from 8:30 AM–1:00 PM, with blackout dates on 6/19/26, 7/3/26, 7/4/26, and the evening session closed on 7/22/26. Advanced Swim Membership for ages 12 and up is available during the Winter Season on Saturdays from 9:30 AM–12:30 PM, with blackout dates on 6/19/26, 7/3/26, and 7/4/26. Summer waitlist enrollment is open for new swimmers only, and swimmers who are currently enrolled do not need to register for the waitlist.
Each lesson is 30 minutes long. Families are not charged for blackout dates, and fees are updated to reflect blackout dates and adjusted accordingly. In the event of an unexpected pool closure for lessons, families receive a credit for swim lessons. There are no refunds, partial refunds, or makeup classes for missed lessons or cancellations due to weather or facility closures, and there are no refunds, partial refunds, or makeup practices for missed practices or cancellations for Boot Camp and Swim Team. If Boot Camp and Swim Team sessions are canceled or interrupted due to circumstances beyond control, no credits, make-ups, transfers, or refunds are issued. No sibling discount is offered at this time.
The pool is heated to 78+ degrees. To join the swim team, a child needs a swimsuit, swim cap, and swim goggles. Kids on the Competitive team are currently exempt from reassessment if they skip a season, subject to change, while kids on all other teams are required to reassess if they skip a season. Boot Camp is designed for swimmers who have completed lessons with the Sailfish or elsewhere but need further stroke refinement and endurance training before qualifying for the prep swim team. MH Sailfish Swim Club is part of MH Flag Football, which is a 501(c)(3) organization, and 100% of donations are tax deductible.
