Mountain House Sailfish Swim Club offers swim lessons for kids and adults, advanced swimming, private swim lessons, and a swim team that includes competitive swim team options. The program also offers Spring Swim Lessons, Advanced Swim Membership, Swim Team Assessment, Pre-Competitive and Prep Teams (Blue and White), Boot Camp, and internal team swim meets. Swim team participants also have internal team swim meets and participation in the East County Swim League.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Swim lessons are 30-minute lessons, including a Spring Season starting March 23, 2026, with lessons offered Monday–Saturday; Winter weekday lessons run 7:00 PM–8:30 PM and Saturday lessons run 8:30 AM–1:00 PM, and Advanced Swim Membership (Winter Season) meets Saturdays 9:30 AM–1:00 PM and Monday–Friday 7:00 PM–8:15 PM, with specific blackout dates listed for the Winter season. Private swim lessons are 30-minute sessions once per week.
• Price: Swim lessons cost $17 per lesson, due in full during registration, and private swim lessons cost $60 for a 30-minute session once per week.
Junior instructors are college students and Mountain House High School students who follow a standardized curriculum for each level, and classes are designed for a 4:1 ratio and may go to 6:1 at times. For Swim2Learn lessons, there are no refunds, partial refunds, or makeup classes for missed lessons or cancellations due to weather or facility closures, and for Boot Camp and Swim Team there are no refunds, partial refunds, or makeup practices for missed practices or cancellations; in the event of an unexpected pool closure for lessons, participants receive a credit for swim lessons. Swim Team registration, except Boot Camp, has migrated to SwimTopia, and all kids on the swim team are eligible for swim meets. MH Sailfish Swim Club is part of Mountain House Flag Football, Inc., which is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, and 100% of donations to the team are tax deductible. Mountain House Flag Football, Inc. was formed in 2009 by local residents to provide quality recreational sports leagues and activities for kids and adults in Mountain House and surrounding areas, and MH Sailfish Swim Club is part of Mountain House Flag Football. Volunteer of the Year recognitions within the organization include Eric Hill (2014), Bob Corden (2011, 2012, 2013), Stephanie Olsen (2017), Joe Olsen (2018), Amy Wiedner (2021), Sandy Pilon (2011, 2012, 2013), Tammy Camacho (2015), David Knipp (2016), Linda Santa Cruz (2019), and Josh Patin (2021). The leadership team includes President Andy K Su, Vice President Eric Hill, Treasurer Bob Corden, Secretary Stephanie Olsen, and Director of Swim Club Stephanie Olsen, along with additional directors and roles across the broader organization. Seasons for the swim program include Spring (March–May), Summer (June–August), and Fall (September–November). To join the team, a child needs a swimsuit, swim cap, and swim goggles.
