Peninsula Youth Theatre

Peninsula Youth Theatre offers activities in Performing Arts and Leadership. The program is based at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, providing a space for young participants to engage in theatrical experiences.

Founded in 1992, Peninsula Youth Theatre is dedicated to providing outstanding theatrical learning experiences that develop leadership, emphasize responsibility, and foster teamwork in a supportive, respectful, and fun environment. The program is the only non-professional home company at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts and features unique offerings such as the Stories on Stage series, founded in 1998, and a Teen Intensive program that allows teens to direct a play. PYT is also involved in the community by providing in-school drama programs across the Peninsula. A testimonial from Karen Gough highlights the positive impact of the program, stating, "Oliver! was my daughter’s first show and my first time volunteering and we are hooked! Will be back with my older son in tow as well. Thank you PYT!"
