Peninsula Youth Theatre Camps and Classes offers one-week programs where campers take part in storytelling, singing, dancing, improvisation, sketch comedy, and puppetry. On the final day of camp, there is a performance for family and friends at 3:00 pm on site.

Peninsula Youth Theatre was founded in 1992, and its Stories on Stage series was founded in 1998. The organization states a mission of providing outstanding theatrical learning experiences that develop leadership, emphasize responsibility and foster teamwork in a supportive, respectful, and fun environment. Peninsula Youth Theatre is the only non-professional home company at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts and is a Home Company of the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. It provides in-school drama programs across the Peninsula, is committed to providing an enriching theatrical experience within the community and schools to demonstrate and reinforce the positive role the arts play in academic success, and relies heavily on community support and donations, with sponsorship opportunities for individuals and businesses. The program includes an award-winning “Theatre in the Park” program adapted into a one-week version, a policy of full participation for all skill levels, a unique family atmosphere, a Stories on Stage series that brings adaptations of classic and award-winning children’s literature, including several world premieres, to thousands of families each year, a Teen Intensive program where teens can direct a play, and opportunities for teenagers to stage manage Stories on Stage productions and intern for summer camps. Peninsula Youth Theatre offers a cancellation and transfer policy with specified dates and fees. One parent testimonial states: “We were amazed at the professionalism, and what a wonderful show. I go to London several times a year and your show was equally as good as the big name performances I see there. The costumes, choreography, sets, and the orchestra were outstanding. What a well trained cast. We will be at every other production that you do in the future.”
