Acton Children's Business Fair

Acton Children's Business Fair is a one-day market where children ages 6–17 launch real businesses. Children run the stand themselves, set the prices, make the change, and take home what they earn. Parents of younger children may sit in the booth, but the children are responsible for setting up, customer interaction, and sales.

About the provider

The Children's Business Fair has been running since 2007. One testimonial from a fair host in Austin, TX said, "Hosting the fair was one of the best decisions we made for our children! They discovered the joy of creating and selling on their own, and had an absolute blast."

Parents of younger children may sit in the booth, but the children should be responsible for setting up, customer interaction, and sales. Parents may help their child fill out the application, but the children should do as much as possible by themselves. If a parent is found selling or promoting a child’s product or service, the child’s business will be disqualified. No more than 3 participants per business. The fair will be indoors in the Blue Oak School Gym. You must provide your own table.
