Connolly Ranch Education Center Programs & Camps include visiting with animals, working in the edible garden, exploring WildSpaces, and taking part in Farm to Table cooking and craft projects. Children can meditate with Grandmother Oak, explore hiking trails, study diverse micro ecosystems, learn about migratory waterfowl and wetland environments at the Duck Pond, share a picnic and enjoy natural play in the Grove, learn woodcraft skills while building forts at the Village, and attend Sunday Farm Open Houses.

Connolly Ranch Education Center’s mission is to connect children to nature through hands-on farm and outdoor experiences to develop curiosity, resilience, and well-being through education, exploration, and play. Connolly Ranch implements humane animal husbandry practices and partners with local animal care professionals. All guests must sign in and register for a program prior to entering the farm. The property was acquired by the Connolly family in 1915, was donated to the Land Trust of Napa County in the early 1990s, hosted its first field trip in 1993, and became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2009. Connolly Ranch hosts over 11,000 visitors and through its programs serves over 5,000 community members each year, and it offers nature-based education for children of all ages with hands-on farm and outdoor experiences, heritage breeds of livestock, an educational garden that serves as an outdoor classroom and play space, biodynamic farming, nutrition, and natural sciences education, a pollinator-friendly environment, preserved upland coastal live oak habitat, Grandmother Oak as a place to meditate, the Duck Pond, the Grove natural play space and picnic area, the Village for woodcraft and fort building, Sunday Farm Open Houses weekend visits, and the Ranch Round Up e-newsletter with program and community event information and seasonal farm updates.
