About
Community Rowing of San Diego Youth Camps introduces campers to rowing, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard (SUP). Campers warm up on ergs and take part in relays and races as part of the daily activities. Camp staff teach rowing and paddle sport techniques, as well as water safety and navigation, and campers help clean up and return all equipment to the boathouse at the end of each camp session.

Community Rowing of San Diego is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization founded in 2012 and dedicated to making watersports, especially rowing, accessible to all. The organization offers programs for all ages and abilities, including Learn to Row classes, youth camps, school programs, adult rowing, and adaptive and veterans programs. Camps are small in size with personalized coaching, flexible programs, and low coach-to-student ratios, and camp staff are USRowing certified coaches. CRSD works to expand access to rowing for underserved youth and families, promoting fitness, inclusion, and a lifelong love of the water, supported by certified coaches, community partnerships, and donor support. A Financial Aide Form is available for families who qualify.
Camp participants need to wear athletic clothes, bring water shoes if they have them because their feet will get wet, bring a water bottle, wear a hat and/or sunscreen, and bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case.
