NAC Camps

NAC Camps offers a variety of water sports activities, including kayaking, outrigger paddling, stand up paddling, rowing, and canoeing. The program includes specific options such as Paddle Camp, Learn to Row Camp, Intermediate Conditioning Camp, Varsity Conditioning Camp, Learn to Row Day, and Learn to Row Summer Camp. At NAC Camps, kids explore the Back Bay while learning the basics of water safety, kayaking, outrigger paddling, and stand up paddling. At Newport Aquatic Center, camps are offered for all ages and a variety of water sports. Paddlers and rowers of every age and level of ability use the NAC to sharpen their skills in rowing, canoeing, outrigger canoeing, and kayaking.

• Schedule: Member and rental hours run Monday–Thursday from 6am to 8pm, Friday from 6am to 7pm, and Saturday–Sunday from 6am to 5pm, with specific last-boat and return times that vary by day.

Throughout the year, the Newport Aquatic Center hosts various events which attract those from the community and beyond. The mission of NAC states that paddlers and rowers of every age and level of ability use the center to sharpen their skills in rowing, canoeing, outrigger canoeing, and kayaking, and that beginners come to improve their physical condition, enjoy the aesthetic and competitive aspects of these sports, and experience the spirit of the NAC. On the 4th of July, all equipment needs to be returned by 1pm.
