Gnomon specializes in computer graphics education for careers in the entertainment industry. The program offers 10-week, on-campus and online individual courses, with more than 80 unique courses available. Standalone avocational courses cover a wide variety of subjects within film, game, and visual effects production, and education spans a wide range of subjects across the production pipeline. Portfolio Development and the Avocational Foundation in Art & Design offer up to one year of fundamental art education for individuals 18 and over who want to become better artists and build a well-rounded portfolio.
Gnomon’s instructors are working professionals who are well versed in up-to-date software, hardware, and techniques used in visual effects, games, and animation. The program has more than 75 industry-active instructors, an average class size of 14, and a total student body of over 550. Admissions Advisors are artists who are trained to provide artistic feedback and suggest plans of action based on an individual’s situation, and they are available via phone, Zoom, or on-campus appointments.
