About

TLC Learning Center After-school Program includes homework help, tutoring, and supplemental curriculum. The program also offers fun extracurricular activities, after-school snacks, school pick-up, and an After-school Program for children in K–5th grade. It provides a full-day Winter Break Program, a full-day Summer Break Program with summer field trips, and has offered full-day care with virtual learning during COVID-19 primary school closures.

• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, with center hours ranging from early morning to early evening

The program uses a research based curriculum that makes learning fun and utilizes children’s natural curiosities to grow their minds. It offers individualized and developmentally appropriate learning environments, tailored learning curriculum, and holistic, guided hands-on learning using the senses and the scientific method. Staff include qualified teachers specialized for preschool age children. The environment is described as safe, loving, and encouraging, with an emphasis on emotional and physical safety, and childcare is described as a second home.

The program is gospel centered to instill each child’s value in how God loves them. It focuses on personal and individualized attention to each child’s gifting, strengths, and intellectual and emotional abilities, with recognition and encouragement of each child’s strengths and talents. It supports open and creative self-discovery with imaginative and open-ended resources and adapts to each child’s timetable for learning and unique learning styles. Nutritious meals are prepared and served daily.

Families can use the Procare Connect app, available on iOS and Android, to message the teacher and director, receive updates and photos from the classroom, and pay tuition and fees or set up AutoPay. A campus tour is available, with an opportunity to meet teachers and the school director and see the facilities. The stated mission is to love children and families as Christ loved us and to build solid foundations through learning that will last a lifetime. The program shares the quote, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” by Albert Einstein.
