Hummingbirds’ Collaborative School Preschool includes daily activities such as artistic activity, circle time, indoor play, outdoor play, story time, lunch, rest time, music, arts, and movement. Children take part in specific artistic activities during the week, including bread making on Mondays, soup making on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and painting and oatmeal on Wednesdays. Snacks include bread with apples and/or oranges on Mondays and Fridays, vegetable soup on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a vegetable brought from home, and oats with raisins, nuts, and fruit on Wednesdays.

Hummingbirds’ Collaborative School is described as a bilingual nature-based school and an alternative community devoted to whole child development methods in a holistic approach to education. The preschool program is described as creating a holistic environment through imitation, repetition, and strengthening the “DO-ing intelligence” through healthy movement, creative daily rhythm, and experiential learning. The school states that it emphasizes sensory integration and a growth mindset, with a multi-sensory approach that supports visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles and focuses on social intelligence, brain intelligence, physical intelligence, and sensory integration.
