Marin Pottery is a community ceramics studio that offers adult and kid classes in wheel-throwing, hand-building, and intro classes, along with drop-in options for potters of all levels with staff present to help introduce ceramics. The studio hosts 8 electric pottery wheels, two electric kilns, a clay extruder, a slab roller, membership cupboards, a glaze area, underglazes, and clay tools, and is set up for beginning and intermediate students rather than production work. The space is described as inviting and inclusive, comfortable for people who have never worked with clay before, and is designed for adults’ busy schedules with options in the morning, noon, or night.

Founder Kebby McInroy has been working with clay since high school and received instruction from a professional production potter. She began teaching when her own children were in the Mill Valley School District and has taught children and adults for over two decades. Over the last 20 years, she and her team have taught thousands of people, from young children to adults, through public schools, private schools, and community centers in Marin County. Marin Pottery holds 1–2 market days where members and students can share and sell their work, reflecting its focus on ceramics and community.
