About
Kids Outdoor Sports Camp offers activities that include a hunter education course and test, safe marksmanship, archery skills, fishing, nature walks, wildlife observation, and group games. Campers take part in activities such as 3-D archery, 3-D archery courses, advanced archery, marksmanship through longer distances, moving targets, scenario drills, and hunt simulations. The program also includes wildlife management, habitat and habitat assessment, ethical stewardship, wildlife tracking, species identification, big game strategy, field navigation, range estimation, judgment-based decision-making, and opportunities to spot Tule Elk. Campers learn about gear care, cleaning, safety checks, and how to care for, clean, and repair equipment, as well as how to climb into and out of a tree stand and understand equipment used for each style of hunting.

KOSC is proudly celebrating its 27th year of summer camps this upcoming summer, after starting its first year in the summer of 1998. Over the course of 26 years and 27 summer camps, KOSC has flourished and has hosted camps at various locations across California, where children can engage with the outdoors for a whole week. For over 26 summers, KOSC has trained thousands of kids in California and now hosts over 200 campers each summer.
Kids Outdoor Sports Camp (KOSC) is dedicated to building the next generation of outdoor and conservation leaders to ensure a bright future for California hunting, angling and shooting sports. KOSC is a registered 501(C)3 organization and partners with Wing and Barrel Ranch and Point Blue Conservation Science. Beginner Camp is the starting level and includes completion of the full Hunter Education course and test, with all Beginner Camps offered as overnight sleep-away sessions. Advanced Camp offers a more hands-on, challenge-based outdoor experience, adapts each year for returning campers so no one repeats the same experience, and all Advanced Camps are overnight sleep-away sessions. Advanced Camp II is the third level of the Outdoor Conservation Explorer Program. Elite Camp is the highest level of the KOSC experience, has selective admission, and all Elite Camps are overnight sleep-away sessions; Elite Camp participants choose a specialty tract, study conservation through the Sportsmen’s Alliance curriculum, and mentor younger campers. Elite Camp Two is the fifth level of the Outdoor Conservation Explorer Program. Combo Camps separate campers by skill level during activity rotations, while dining and other activities are done together.
