Oakland's Magic Kitchen features cooking activities that focus on getting little ones excited about ingredients, recipes, making meals, and participating in the kitchen. The program is described as Oakland’s most magical cooking show and a kid-friendly culinary adventure. It also features Fairyland’s furry mascot, Quercus, as part of the experience.

Oakland's Magic Kitchen takes place at Children’s Fairyland, a whimsical 10-acre storybook park described as a magical mid-century park where young children can create, imagine, play, and learn all day long. Children’s Fairyland has been enchanting children for more than 70 years and remains true to its mission as a magical fantasy world where young children can create, imagine, play, and learn. For this program, Fairyland teams up with The Town’s top chefs. Children’s Fairyland’s leadership team includes Kymberly Miller (CEO), Vicky Chen (Senior Director of Education), Nick Mitchell (Senior Director of Facilities), Morgan Rothenbaum (Senior Director of Marketing & Comm.), Samuel Aguayo (Senior Director of Operations), Leslie Fay Marks (Senior Director of Philanthropy), and Jessica Martin (Senior Director of Events).
