Oakland's Magic Kitchen features cooking activities that focus on getting little ones excited about ingredients, recipes, making meals, and participating in the kitchen. The program is described as Oakland’s most magical cooking show and a kid-friendly culinary adventure. It includes appearances by Fairyland’s furry mascot, Quercus.

Oakland's Magic Kitchen is part of Children’s Fairyland, a whimsical 10-acre storybook park designed for families with little ones ages 0–8. Children’s Fairyland has been enchanting children for more than 70 years and remains true to its mission as a magical fantasy world where young children can create, imagine, play, and learn. For this program, Fairyland teams up with The Town’s top chefs. The organization’s leadership team includes Kymberly Miller (CEO), Vicky Chen (Senior Director of Education), Nick Mitchell (Senior Director of Facilities), Morgan Rothenbaum (Senior Director of Marketing & Comm.), Samuel Aguayo (Senior Director of Operations), Leslie Fay Marks (Senior Director of Philanthropy), and Jessica Martin (Senior Director of Events).
