Break Camps offers daily enriching activities, exciting weekly field trips, and visits from inspiring guest speakers from a variety of careers and backgrounds. Since 1994, the Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County has been opening blue doors to opportunity. The organization’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Break Camps is part of an award-winning program that has been recognized as the Tribune Gold Winner for Childcare on the Central Coast.

Break Camps is open to all current TK–6th grade students who are enrolled in TK–6th grade during the 2025–2026 school year. Online enrollment opens April 14 at 10:00 AM at bgcslo.org/breakcamps, and space is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no minimum attendance requirements, so families can use care as needed within their registered weeks. Financial aid and CAPSLO are accepted. Parents and guardians must review, agree to, and sign the Parent Handbook, and all registration and payment for Club Kids Night Out must be completed online before participation, with online enrollment for that event open until June 26, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County serves families and mentors youth across South San Luis Obispo County, including the communities of Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Nipomo, Oceano, Pismo Beach, and Shell Beach. Community partners include Beach Front Auto & Smog, which donates $10 from qualifying services during June, July, and August to support Club programs, and Rooster Creek Tavern, which hosts a “3rd Tuesday: Dining with a Purpose” event where all proceeds from the evening are donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of South San Luis Obispo County.
