Oceanside Pop Warner Football & Cheer offers youth football, cheer, cheerleading, and dance. The program includes activities that follow the Pop Warner model of football, cheerleading, and dance.

Oceanside Pop Warner was established in 1971. Its mission is to provide a quality youth football and cheer program with emphasis on developing athletes while promoting safety, fun and participation for all; to advocate good sportsmanship, respect, and to honor the game. The mission also states that, through the encouragement of teamwork, self-discipline, leadership and academic achievement, the organization is committed to promoting a positive culture that builds self esteem and instills the importance of both athletics and scholastic, which go hand-in-hand to foster confident, responsible, well-rounded young men and women.
Oceanside Pop Warner Football & Cheer is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer programs for participants who live in Oceanside and/or who attend school within the Oceanside Unified School District. The organization is run entirely by volunteers, including coaches and seasonal staff, and volunteers can include people who do not have a child in the league. It is funded through registration fees, sponsors, and fundraisers, and all funds are put back into the program to pay expenses and make improvements. Expenses incurred each year include repair and/or replacement of equipment and uniforms, field usage fees, insurance, membership dues, background checks for staff, merchandise for resale, referees, end-of-year participant trophies, participant pictures, and other miscellaneous administrative expenses, with allocation categories that include uniforms, field allocation and usage costs, equipment, player quality of life, administrative operating expense, dues, fees and insurance, and player events. The organization states that fiscal responsibility is paramount to its growth and success and that it is comprised solely of volunteers with zero financial compensation. Each year, Oceanside Pop Warner continues to expand its efforts in team and activity participation, as well as visibility and outreach in the community, and it is committed to developing Oceanside’s young people on the field and off.
Oceanside Pop Warner is a part of Pop Warner Little Scholars, which is described as the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the world. It is a subordinate member of Pop Warner Little Scholars and is subject to Pop Warner Little Scholars rules and regulations, is part of the Wescon Pop Warner Region, and its league is the West Coast Conference (WCC). Pop Warner requires its participants to maintain academic standards in order to participate, and Pop Warner programs seek to develop well-rounded young men and women who learn the fundamentals of football, cheerleading, and dance and the importance of education.
In 2025, Oceanside Pop Warner sent three teams to compete at the National Championships in North Carolina, with two of those teams returning home as National Champions. Oceanside Pop Warner was honored with the 2025 National Pop Warner Community Star Award.
