Holy Shepherd Community Preschool includes activities such as cooking their own snack, building many kinds of towers, creating superheroes with capes and original stories, and hatching baby chickens. The program uses a teacher-guided, child-driven, play-based curriculum in a structured, nurturing environment with ample outdoor space and small class sizes. Chickadee and Hummingbird classrooms offer a small, intimate environment for the youngest students’ first school experiences, while Blue Jays, Quail, and Hawks classrooms follow a play-based approach with projects inspired by children’s interests.

• Schedule: Morning, full-day, and extended-day options, with Summer Session choices for enrolled students
Holy Shepherd Community Preschool offers a Toddler Program for children ages 18 months to 35 months and a Preschool Program for children ages 25 months through the point of entering kindergarten. The curriculum includes projects that involve practicing pre-math and pre-writing skills, expanding vocabulary, verbal negotiation, complex cooperative play, building community, taking care of the environment, practicing kindness, observation and prediction, taking risks, and problem solving. The school is staffed by a team of Early Childhood Education professionals and is led by Executive Director Claire Peterson and Director Amy Cabiles. The program operates under License #073400100 and is connected with Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church.
